It’s Slow Ride’s book birthday! WAHOOOOOO!
Can you tell I’m excited? I’m also super nervous. But, that goes with the territory.
Slow Ride is a contemporary romance set in the small fictional town of Ashten Falls, Maine. The hero of the book is Cooper, a hot, super sexy protective guy who runs a couple businesses, including his beloved garage. Yep, he’s a mechanic and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. *wink*
This book is the first in what I hope will be a series, each book focusing on different characters which can be read as stand alones. (No cliffys here!) In fact, book 2 will focus Sam and how a certain heroine, Emme, turns everything in his ordered life upside down. The heroes and heroines of these books are everyday, average folks, just trying to get by and enjoy the life they have, and the people they care about, of course. Many of the heroes have their own businesses, like Cooper and Sam, and I hope I do them each justice in showing the pride they have for the work they do. Small businesses are the heart and soul of so many towns and cities in this country, including the one I’m from. And this is definitely the case in the fictional town my characters live in. Other heroes of this series though skate the line of what is legal and illegal, always one step ahead of the law. Sometimes. (That’s Will, you’ll meet him in a later book).
So, now that you know a little about Ashten Falls, I wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who supports me and my writing. To do that, I wanted to do a giveaway. I have 2 copies of my book up for grabs, in either epub or mobi formats. The rules are easy peasy–just leave a comment, answering the following question: What kind of blue collar hero or heroine gets you all hot and bothered?
For me, it’s the guys at my local garage. Yep, the one I take my car to for an oil change and the one where I first got the idea that the hero of Slow Ride would be a mechanic. The guys there are wicked hot. And there might be times that I may even be drooling as a certain guy is working under my hood. (Of the car, I mean. Get your minds out of the gutter! Okay, never mind, leave them there. *grins*)
What about you? Is it your mechanic? The chef at the local diner? Maybe the guy who owns the electronics store down the street? Or is the electrician? So many possibilities!
Enter the contest via the widget below and by leaving a comment. The contest will be open until Wednesday at 8am. Then I’ll pick a winner from those who commented. Please sure to leave your format choice in your comment or I won’t be able to contact you. Thanks everyone and good luck!
